Trail Grooming Report – January 8, 2015

On Wednesday, January 7, the Jo Mary Riders started their grooming season. All three groomers were out and were able to groom the following trails:

  • groomed from South Twin lake towards Millinocket on the “Downtown” trail
  • groomed to the 111 as far as the Jo Mary road and then to B Pond. Also opened the Gauntlet Falls trail and the new Greenwood Mountain loop. Groomed the 111 to 109 x-over trail.
  • opened the 109 as far as the P.P. X-over trail on top of Potaywadjo Ridge.

Remember that this was our initial groom and that there are still many trees down in the areas that we have not yet reached. Some sections have only had one pass by the groomers but they are 10′ wide so not really an issue. If you plan on riding this weekend please consider taking a saw with you and help us to cut trees (and throw them way off the trail!).
